Freestyle Motocross (FMX) is one of the world’s fastest growing action sports and our demonstrations are family and community friendly.
FMX is an extreme action sport whereby motor cycle riders jump from one ramp to another over a distance of 75 feet and reaching a height of 40 feet in the air and it is a combination of suspense, thrill and excitement above all it is exciting entertainment for spectators.
The ASP FMX Team is made up of highly experienced riders and they put on a spectacular show pulling out some crazy mind-blowing tricks to entertain the crowds. Mckenna started his career at the age of 20, having watched street bike stunt riding in his teens, he took up the sport in 2007. In 2013 he was the first Australian stunt performer to be signed by the official partnership then launched the new Yamaha MT-09 in the Australian market with a full length TVC and custom stunt modified MT-09’s. Resident in Sydney, McKenna has performed at events such as the A1 Grand Prix, China Super bikes Championship, V8 Supercars, Moto GP, Nitro Championships, the Australian Tattoo and Body Expo, Ballarat Swap Meet, and York Motorcycle Festival.

]]>The University of Western Australia Motorsport project team (UWAM) consists of a team in excess of 60 volunteer students who work together to conceive, design, build, test & race a vehicle to compete in Formula SAE competitions world-wide. The project gives students the opportunity to develop their technical, time-management and interpersonal skills, as well as developing experience in organising, managing, and financing and engineering enterprise. This experience does not normally form part of students degree programs.
The UWA Motorsport team have competed at competitions in Australia since 2001, and have won the event twice, taken the trophy for Engineering Design four times, and collected more than thirty trophies for individual events. The team have also competed at Formula SAE championships in Michigan, winning the event in 2008 (and with it the World Championship) after being runners-up twice, collecting two Engineering Design trophies and more than thirty other prizes. We have additionally attended the Formula Student Germany competition, placing third overall in 2009. Amongst the additional awards that the team has won are seven for design innovation.
